MHT CET  for Agricultural courses is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET CELL) for Admission to First Year of Four Year Full Time Degree Courses in B.Sc. (Honours) (Agriculture) / B.Sc. (Honours) (Horticulture) / B.Sc. (Honours) (Forestry) / B.Sc. (Honours) (Community Science) / B. Tech. (Agriculture Engineering) / B. Tech. (Food Technology ) / B. Tech. (Bio-Technology) / B. F. Sc. (Fisheries Science).

MHT CET  for Agricultural courses Important Dates

  • Online registration & Confirmation of Application Form on website: First week January to End of February
  • Online registration & Confirmation of Application Form on website (with additional Late Fee of Rs. 500/- for all categories): First week March to End of March
  • Issue of Admit Card (through candidate login): First week of April
  • Date of the Examination (Group wise shifts will be announced later on.): Mid April

MHT CET  for Agricultural courses Eligibility Criteria

All the candidates passed / who have are appearing at the qualifying examination i.e. HSC/12th
Standard examination or its equivalent examination and having Indian Nationality are eligible for appearing for MHT-CET . There is no age limit for admission and appearing for MHT-CET 

(A) Candidature Type

i. Maharashtra State Candidature – The Candidates having Domicile of Maharashtra State / School Leaving Certificate mentioning place of birth from Maharashtra / Birth Certificate issued by the Competent Authority from Maharashtra state are eligible for MS candidature.

ii. Other State Candidature (OMS). – The Candidates having Domicile Certificate / Residential 
Certificate / Residence and Date of Birth Certificate issued from the competent authority other than Maharashtra state are eligible under this Category. Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidates will be considered as OMS candidates.

iii. Minority Candidature – The Candidate belonging to a particular Linguistic or Religious Minority Community and belonging to the State of Maharashtra and as notified by the Government are eligible under this Category.

iv. Children of NRI, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National – These 
types of Candidature Candidates are exempted from appearing for MHT-CET .

Note:- It is mandatory to appear for MHT-CET  for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State candidature, Other State Candidature, Minority Candidature seeking admission to undergraduate courses in Agriculture Universities. But other Common Entrance Tests such as JEE / NEET / AIEEA-UG (ICAR, New Delhi conducted All India Entrance Examination Test for Admission) will also be considered equivalent to MHT-CET for admission.

First year of four year integrated programme leading to B. Sc. (Honours) Agriculture:
XII Std. (Science) passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Inter Agriculture (with Physics, Chemistry) and English. 

And 

Obtained score in Common Entrance Test (PCB / PCM) of the respective year conducted by the competent authority. The candidate who have passed qualifying examination without 
Biology / Mathematics shall have to complete deficiency courses as prescribed by respective university.

First year of four year integrated programme leading to B. Sc. (Honours) Horticulture:
XII Std. Science) passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Inter Agriculture (with Physics, Chemistry) and English

And 

Obtained score in Common Entrance Test (PCB / PCM) of the respective year conducted by the competent authority. The candidate who have passed qualifying examination without Biology / Mathematics shall have to complete deficiency courses as prescribed by respective university.

First year of four year integrated programme leading to B. Sc. (Honours) Forestry:
XII Std. (Science) passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology or Inter Agriculture (with Physics, Chemistry) and English

And

Obtained score in Common Entrance Test (PCB) of the respective year conducted by the competent authority. The candidate who have passed qualifying examination without Biology / Mathematics shall have to complete deficiency courses as prescribed by respective university.

First year of four year integrated programme leading to B.Tech. (Agriculture Engineering)
XII Std. (Science) passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination, with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology

And

Obtained score in Common Entrance Test (PCM) of the respective year conducted by the competent authority. The candidate who has passed qualifying examination without Biology 
shall have to complete deficiency courses as prescribed by respective university.


First year of four year integrated programme leading to B.Tech. (Food Technology )
XII Std. (Science) passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination, with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology

And

Obtained score in Common Entrance Test (PCM) of the respective year conducted by the competent authority. The candidate who have passed qualifying examination without 
Biology shall have to complete deficiency courses as prescribed by respective university.

First year of four year integrated programme leading to B. Sc. (Honours) Community 
Science
XII Std. (Science) passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English 

And

Obtained score in Common Entrance Test (PCB/PCM) of the respective year conducted by the competent authority. The candidate who have passed qualifying examination without Biology / Mathematics shall have to complete deficiency courses as prescribed by respective university.

First year of four year integrated programme leading to B.Tech. (Biotechnology)
XII Std. (Science) passed in 10+2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English

And

Obtained score in Common Entrance Test (PCB/PCM) of the respective year conducted by the competent authority. The candidate who have passed qualifying examination without Biology / Mathematics shall have to complete deficiency courses as prescribed by respective university.

First year of four years integrated programme leading to B. F. Sc. Degree Course.
XII Std. (Science) passed in 10 + 2 pattern from Maharashtra State Board of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent Examination, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics or Inter Agriculture (with Physics, Chemistry) and English 

And

Obtained score in Common Entrance Test (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) of the respective year conducted by the competent authority. The candidate who has passed qualifying examination without Mathematics shall have to complete deficiency courses as prescribed by respective university.


The Candidate should be an Indian National.
The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination / (XII Std.-Science) securing not less than 50% marks for General category (Open) and 40% marks in aggregate for reserved categories (SC/ST/VJa/NTb /NTc /NTd / OBC / SBC / SEBC/EWS).
The proposal for candidates securing 40% aggregate marks in 12th Std (Science) / Qualifying examinations for physically handicapped candidates was submitted to Govt. of Maharashtra for approval. The government resolution in this regards will be implemented accordingly.

MHT CET  for Agricultural courses Application Process

Candidates are required to fill the application form for MAH CET  for Agricultural courses
through Online Mode (CBT-Computer Based Test) only. The Information Brochure for MHT-CET  and the User Manual for filling up the online application form is available on web site mhtcet.mahaonline.gov.in.

The Online Application Submission is a four step process:
 Registration – Creation of Username and Password
 My Application – Filling up Application Form for MHT-CET 
 Upload of Photograph and Signature – Candidate must upload their recent Photograph and Signature in Online system
 Payment of Fees – Candidate can make payment of Fees using Online Payment mode only

Candidate MUST review their Form details before making payment of Fees; The candidate will not be able to make changes / edit after payment is made. Fees once paid is NOT refundable under any circumstances

Steps to Upload Photograph and Signature
Applicants are required to upload their recent scanned/digital colour photograph and signature. The file size of the Photograph should be between 15 KB to 50 KB and Signature should be between 5 KB to 20 KB per file. All Candidates must upload their Photograph and Signature in ".jpg" format only and file name of Photograph and signature should preferably be photo.jpg and sign.jpg respectively.

For Uploading photograph
The picture should be taken against a light/white background. In case the face on the photograph is not clear, your application is liable to be rejected. 

To reduce the size, crop the image of the passport size photograph in MS Paint or any other Photo Editor.

 Please ensure that only the full face portion is cropped and not the entire photograph.

For Uploading Signature
The candidate himself/herself should sign (no capital letters) on a white paper with a black ink pen.

Scan the signature in 200 dpi (dots per inch) scanner resolution settings and the file size should be between 5 KB to 20 KB in .jpg format.

To reduce the size, crop the image of the signature in MS Paint or any other Photo Editor. 

Please ensure that only the signature portion is cropped and not the entire A 4 paper on which you have signed.

Once photograph and signature files are uploaded by the candidate successfully, the system will show on the screen Photograph and Signature that has been uploaded. If these have been correctly uploaded, you should now proceed further to make the online payment.

To ensure the Photograph and Signature are within specified file size follow the 
following instructions:
Open the digital or scanned photograph or signature in MS Paint by right clicking the photograph or signature.

Press Ctrl + W, a window will open which will have an option 'resize by %'. Here enter anything between 10 to 50% and save the file with an extension .jpg. 

Check for the size of the file in 'properties'. If the file size is still not between 15 KB to 50 KB for Photograph and 5 KB to 20 KB, once again open in paint and resize it to bring it to within specified range.

Repeat this process till the file size is between specified range. Save this file with the file Name as mentioned above as photo.jpg and sign.jpg

  • PWD: Rs. 600 + 500 = 1100
Candidates are required to make the payment only through online mode for which the service charges, as per rules, shall be applicable in addition to the application form processing fees. The fees once paid is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.

On successful payment of the application fee, a confirmation of the same will be displayed online. Candidates shall print the receipt for future references. After successful payment, Candidate shall take the print out of its online application form for MHT-CET. 

MHT CET  for Agricultural courses Pattern of Examination

The questions will be based on the Syllabus of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and 
Higher Secondary Education. 20% weightage will be given to the questions from Std. XI syllabus and 80% weightage will be given to the questions from Std. XII syllabus while setting the Question Papers. There will be No Negative Marking. The questions will be mainly application based. MHT-CET  will be conducted in two groups i.e. PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) and PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology).

The question papers are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) having four options and the questions and marking system is as follows.

Mathematics
  • No. of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) based on Std. XI: 10
  • No. of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) based on Std. XII: 40
  • Marks per question: 2
  • Total Marks: 100
  • Duration in Minutes: 90
Physics and Chemistry
  • No. of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) based on Std. XI: 20
  • No. of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) based on Std. XII: 80
  • Marks per question: 1
  • Total Marks: 100
  • Duration in Minutes: 90
Biology (Botany and Zoology)
  • No. of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) based on Std. XI: 20
  • No. of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) based on Std. XII: 80

Important Note:

MHT CET  result will be declared in Percentile.

Candidate should note that if he/she appearing for both the the groups i.e. PCM and PCB, the Percentile score of Physics or Chemistry will not be interchanged among the groups.

The candidate seeking admission to first year B. Tech. (Agriculture Engineering) / B. Tech.
(Food Technology) degree courses it is mandatory that the candidate must appear PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics).

 The candidate seeking admission to first year B.Sc. (Honours) (Forestry) and B. F. Sc. (Fisheries
Science) degree course it is mandatory that the candidate must appear for PCB (Physics, 
Chemistry and Biology).

MHT CET  for Agricultural courses Syllabus

The question will be set on 
a) Whole Syllabus of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics subjects of Std. XII 
b) Syllabus of Std. XI will be as mentioned below:

Physics: Measurements, Scalars and Vectors, Force, Friction in solids and liquids, Refraction of light, Ray optics, Magnetic effect of electric current, Magnetism.

Chemistry: Some basic concepts of Chemistry, States of matter: Gases and liquids, Redox reaction, Surface chemistry, Nature of chemical bond, Hydrogen, s-Block elements(Alkali and alkaline earth metals), Basic principles and techniques in organic chemistry, Alkanes.

Mathematics: Trigonometric functions, Trigonometric functions of Compound Angles, Factorization Formulae, Straight Line, Circle and Conics, Sets, Relations and Functions, Probability, Sequences and series.

Biology
Section I - Botany
Diversity in organisms, Biochemistry of cell, Plant Water Relations and Mineral Nutrition, Plant Growth and Development.

Section II - Zoology
Organization of Cell, Animal tissues, Human Nutrition, Human Respiration
