Maharashtra Public Service Commission conducts the Maharashtra Civil Services Examination to select applicants for the post of Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies and Assistant Director of Rural Development Department which are included in Group I Services. Civil services exam is like a gateway to various administrative services in the country.

Though attractive, clearing civil services are the hardest nut to crack. But despite that number of aspiring students from Maharashtra and across the country apply for the examination.

Apart from respect and prestige which comes with these posts, it is the salaries and perks which motivates the majority of youngsters to opt for this career option.
