Maharashtra State Eligibility Test - MH SET
The Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH SET) is conducted by Pune University for the recruitment of eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Professor in colleges/universities of Maharashtra and Goa.
The test is conducted for 32 subjects under various faculties such as Physical Education, Education, Moral and Social Sciences, Mental, Law, Management, Science, Commerce and Arts.

Candidates are required to appear for any one of the following subjects, preferably in the subject where they have pursued their post-graduation. Whose post-graduation subject is not covered in the given list should appear in a related subject.

MH SET Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate should have successfully completed their post graduation or other equivalent diploma or degree courses from a recognized university or institute with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/PH/VH and OBC/SBC/DT/NT (non-creamy layer) categories) to be eligible to appear for MH SET.
- There is no upper age limit for candidates to appear for MH SET.
- Candidates who have appeared for their final year post-graduation exams are also eligible to apply for MH SET.
MH SET Application Process
- Candidates are required to apply online by visiting the official website.
- After the completion of the application process, candidates can take a print out of the application form and keep it for future reference.

Paper I is general in nature and questions in Paper II and III are based on the subject a candidate chooses.

Paper II
Number of Questions: 50 (Questions to be attempted – All)
Marks: 100
Duration: 1.25 Hours
Paper III
Number of Questions: 75 (Questions to be attempted – All)
Marks: 150
Duration: 2.5 Hours
Total Questions: 185 (Questions to be attempted: 175)
Total Marks: 350
Duration: 5 Hours
Marking Scheme: two marks for each correct answer and there is no negative marking for any wrong responses.
Note: In Paper I, if more than 50 questions are attempted by the candidate then only the first fifty questions attempted will be evaluated.
