MHT CET

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test commonly known as MHT CET is a state-level entrance exam conducted for admission into Engineering and Allied Health Science courses offered by colleges of Maharashtra. The MHT CET is a Computer Based Test (CBT). The MHT CET ask questions in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology based on syllabus and pattern of Maharashtra Board. CET aspirants can expect 20% questions from Class 11th syllabus and 80% from Class 12th Syllabus. The examination is administered in two groups Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics, Chemistry, Biology. All questions are Multiple Choice Type i.e. MCQs; 4 answers against each question provided and candidate require to select right option. The Score result of MHT CET will be available in percentile. A candidate appear for either group or both the groups; however percentile score won't be interchangeable between groups.

MHT CET Eligibility Criteria

For Engineering Courses

Nationality: Indian.
Candidates must have passed their class 12th exam or HSC examination with subjects namely, Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics/ Biotechnology/ Biology/Technical Vocational subject scoring a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% aggregate marks for reserved category candidates).
Candidate who have passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50% aggregate marks (45% in case of reserved category) are also eligible to apply.
Candidates should obtain the qualifying marks in JEE Main Paper 1 (All India Candidature Candidates, Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature Candidates)

For Pharmacy courses

Nationality: Indian
Candidates must have passed their class 12th exam or HSC examination with subjects namely, English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology /Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject scoring a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of reserved category).
There is no age limit applicable to this course.

MHT CET Application Form

The MHT Application Procedure is completely online. You may need to take following steps for the submission of application form.

The application process includes these steps:
Step 1: Registration
Visit the official website of MHT CET and look for ‘registration link’.
Click on ‘new user’ and enter details like email ID, phone number, password, etc.
You will get a unique user id and password on the registered email id or contact number.

Step 2: Form Filling
Fill the MH CET Application Form and provide your personal and academic details carefully before submitting them. Also, reservation information needs to be filled along with other details.

Step 3: Uploading documents
Upload your passport size photograph clicked on a white background and a scanned copy of your signature. The photograph size should be in .jpg format ranging from 15kb-50 kb. The signature should be done with black ink and should be scanned at 200 dpi. The size of the signature should range from 5kb-20kb.

Step 4: Payment of Application Fee
The application fee can be paid in both online as well as offline mode. The application fee for MHT CET is INR 800 for General category, while candidates of reserved categories should pay INR 600. If a candidate opts for the online method of payment, he/she will have to use net banking facility or payment through credit card/debit card. The offline payment can be done through e-challan which will be generated automatically.

MHT CET Admit Card

The MHT CET admit is generally available for download starting 3/4th week of April. Following given steps to download MHT CET admit card. 
  • Visit the official website of MHT CET and click on ‘admit card’ link.
  • Enter the user id and password.
  • Click on ‘submit’, your admit card will be displayed on the screen
  • Take out multiple copies of MHT CET Admit Card
