Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) for MA Mass Communication
Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication Entrance Exam or the Symbiosis Entrance Test SET is conducted annually for admission to mass communication programs in the institute. The MA course includes Masters of Arts (Mass Communication) and one can do specialization in: Journalism (Print, Broadcast and Cyber Media), Audio & Visual Production (Radio Communication, Television Production, Ad and Documentary Film making and Film Studies). Two-year full-time postgraduate programmes in Mass Communication & Communication management.

There is a two-step process available for the undergraduate program. In the first round one has to appear for the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET). SET is a common, objective, written test, which is held at several cities across India on the first Saturday of May every year. If shortlisted, you will have to be present at the Centre for duration of three-four hours to take a writing ability test.

MA Mass Communication Eligibility Procedure
Candidates need to be graduates in any discipline from a recognized University with 50% (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate. Those expecting their final year results may apply. However, the same remains provisional and subject to furnishing proof of graduation with 50% (45% for SC/ST) by beginning of the Second Semester. Not providing the same can result in loss of seat.

The SIMC MA (MC) test duration is 120 minutes and it is an objective test; each question has 4 responses. On choosing the right response, you get 1 mark and for the wrong answer you lose .25 marks. Contact Details
